My 1981 Chevy c10, My first Truck/vehicle that I bought for $1000 when I was 15. I recently did an Engine/Transmission swap from a 305/350 to a built 355/400 combo. Now it makes 363hp and 400lbs tq at the crank. The engine has forged flat top pistons, roller tip rockers, Quickfuel HR650 carb/Edelbrock air gap intake, Comp cam and springs, hand ported and polished cast iron heads, titanium wrapped Hooker long tube headers and is topped off with the Proform chrome valve covers and air filter. The transmission is a TH400 out of a Grumman cube van that was built with straight cut gears new clutches and a shift kit. It has a 12 bolt GM rear axle with 3.73 gears and posi. I have a set of 15"x8"Corvette rally rims with Mickey Thompson ET streets that I plan to put on this summer. Some other plans include putting in bucket seats, a floor shifter, rear disk brake conversion, suspension uprgrades and maybe suburban front clip(?) I am unsure if I will have it painted or not as I like the sleeper look.
